THE TEAM

Warren Thomas Weekes (Owner/Creative Director)
                                    
                                    Musician/songwriter, Warren has been in the entertainment industry 21                                                years covering a broad area including; writing, directing and producing for                                          television and radio jingle/advertising (Senior partner in SEE/HEAR Visual-                                        Audio Productions) based in Bundaberg, Queensland, as well as being a                                           touring performer. He left the jingle writing business in 1996 for fulltime                                                 touring (with ‘Diana Woods Duo’ and later Warren’s own solo act) on the                                             East Coast and Western Queensland circuit playing both covers and              originals. In 1999 he ceased touring and moved to Brisbane to pursue multimedia interests.                                             
Warren’s vast experience in the entertainment industry includes many successful A.V. campaigns including; Documentary for the famous 'G for George’ Lancaster Bomber reinstatement and 460 Squadron RAAF Commemoration at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra (2003), his song Lucky Country, which was short listed for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Album, and the Chicky Babe song for the Altogether Now sitcom circa 1990. He also wrote Wide Open Space for the Diana Woods album ‘Fly Free’ which had extensive airplay throughout Central and North Queensland. He produced a number of successful TV and radio campaigns including the Bundaberg Tourism commercial for Channel 9. Warren’s friendly communication skills alongside his ability to understand the individual client’s needs are only topped by his broad creative ideas.


Stephan van der Merwe  (Co Producer/Editor)

                             Stephan has over 15 years experience in the Film/TV and Music industry.                                            Before moving to Australia he worked as a Producer/Director, Editor and Sound                                Designer for Provision Film and TV Productions in South Africa. He freelanced                                  in 1998 and was contracted by many independent Production Company's and                                    international broadcasters such as SABC and the BBC.

                             He moved to Australia in 2000 and managed Multimedia production companies                                 in Sydney and on the NSW Central Coast. He relocated to Brisbane and is now working on productions for the ABC’s Australian Story, The 7:30 Report, Can We Help, Landline, and New Inventors. He has won International awards for 5 Feature films and 3 Documentaries.

Stephan runs independent music production Company 'Vula Music' and has recently joined 'Warren Thomas Productions' in co-production.


Linton Vivian  (Director Of Photography)

                                       Linton has been working in the television industry for the past nine years,                                             gaining employment after school as directors assistant then progressing                                              through to other industry areas ranging from commercial production,                                                    corporate videos, news, current affairs and live outside broadcasts.

                                       As well as being a partner in VJ Productions, Linton also freelances as a                                             Director of Photography and camera operator on various national                                                         productions.

His latest projects include ‘Laughing With The Disabled’ and Kids Alive Do The  Five’ with Laurie Lawrence.

In 2000 he traveled to the U.S. filming a documentary on Samoan boxer David Tua, and in 2001 was awarded the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) Encouragement Award for the documentary Each New Morning.

In 2002 he won two ACS Gold Awards for the short film The Helmet, a silver for the short film The Boat and a Highly Commended Award for the music clip Time Is Never Wrong.
